Qur’an is a permanently free, private, offline reading application. Every feature is available without payment.

The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It contains no advertising, sponsored content, subscriptions, in-app purchases, paywalls, donations, analytics, tracking, accounts, telemetry, remote crash reporting, or third-party SDKs. The app does not request access to location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, advertising identifiers, or notifications.

Bookmarks, named reading places, the optional Khatmah plan, exact reading position, appearance, and reading preferences are stored only in private on-device app storage. On iOS, the Continue Reading widget receives only the saved Surah name and ayah number through the app’s private App Group container. On Android, the widget reads the same private application preferences. The app does not provide an account or cloud-sync service. Removing the app removes this locally stored information. Android automatic cloud backup and device transfer are disabled for these preferences.

If the user chooses Export Local Backup, the app creates a human-readable JSON file containing only that personal state and opens the operating system’s file picker so the user can choose where to save it. Restore reads only a file the user explicitly selects and asks for confirmation before replacing local state. A backup never contains the Qur’an text. The app itself does not upload or synchronize backup files.

All Qur’an text and fonts are bundled inside the installed application. Reading is fully offline and requires no internet connection. The app makes no network requests and downloads no content. If a user voluntarily taps an optional source or license URL in Legal & Credits, the operating system opens that URL in the user’s external browser.
